California University of Technology is a next generation university of e-learning with the aim of providing quality education in real time through indirect instruction. CalU has an array of online courses or distance learning programs on offer including BBA, MBA, DBA, Dual Degree, BEIT, and BSMIS. The CalU Online Center has on offer two, distinct and innovative Learning Methods. They are Case and Advise methods targeted at adult Learners, professionals who want to gain a cutting-edge over the others and for those who are looking to enhance their career prospects. CalU stays current by developing courses using the ADVISE method for the MBA and DBA degrees. The goal behind these learning methods is to facilitate the understanding and discovery of key concepts through interactive simulations.

Advise Learning Method: This unique interactive learning methodology is integral to the Master and Doctoral programs on offer. This involves analysis and simplification of complex business matters through case studies, understanding the application of key concepts using e-learning methods, concretizing through video field trips, gaining knowledge through interactive and innovative simulations, facilitating knowledge through presentations. Finally, the Advise method seeks to explore the industry by recording research findings and submitting a comprehensive report in order to internalize the learned information. This is made possible through the interactive technologies that focus on broadening a Learner’s knowledge base, initiate new ideas and improve the decision-making processes. It aims at promoting retention of knowledge through the application of adaptive technologies.

Case Learning Method: This is yet another Learning Method aimed at helping the students understand and discover key concepts through futuristic learning modules and interactive simulations. The Case Method of learning involves creating a plan, analyzing the key concepts, sharing the knowledge and exploring the industry. The method reflects the best practices for application based learning, such as, the development of the Applied Research Plans in each course at the doctoral level and the use of Case Analysis as opposed to the traditional Case Study approach used at the master’s level.
